Grenville Day 5

11th October 2024
Day 5
It's a wrap! We are now all at home and hopefully tucked back in our beds in our family homes. The last day turned into a pretty eventful one! After our final breakfast, it was then onto packing all of our bags and cleaning the rooms so we would be ready to leave.
We then took part in indoor climbing when the children used their skills learnt in the week to climb and traverse the walls. All of the children reached the top of the climbing wall and rang the bell! We then played some games on the bouldering wall - including assassins and ninjas; this is where blindfolded children had to throw beanbags at children moving across the wall.
Then...home...but not quite! Unfortunalely the coach arrived but would not start again! This meant that we had to wait for a replacement coach to be sent - meaning we had around an hour and a half. So, we set off on a walk and found two beautiful coves along the Coastal Footpath. There the children built some stone towers to pass the time before finally returning to the centre and our new coach and then home!
Many thanks to all the staff who looked after the children, to Hemyock children and staff for being such great company and to Grenville House.
