Grenville Day 2

GRENVILLE DAY 2
The second day is over and what an eventful day we have had! Firstly, after a hearty breakfast of cereal and toast, we headed up to Berry Head for orienteering. The weather was - shall we say - unsettled! Despite this, the children did brilliantly to find 7 checkpoints and recalling them to the instructor.
Then it was back down the hill to have a warm lunch of pasta before we got all of our equipment ready for coaststeering.
Coaststeering did not disappoint - with all the children having the courage to jump from a height into the water. We had loads of fun bobbing around in the swell and even explored a cave. It was great to see the chidlren working together by helping each other to navigate their way up, down and along the coastline.
Once we had returned to the welcoming warm showers, we all got ready for dinner - cottage pie followed by white chocolate cheesecake! The cooks in the centre commented on how every child in both Sampford and Hemyock had been so polite and respectful with everyone of them saying thank you to them.
Tomorrow we will be completing both the high ropes course and abseiling!
