Music Concert

20th March 2025

On Thursday after school both children and adults gathered at the Village Hall to watch the annual music concert. This is an opportunity for children - who may be learning an instrument: in peripatetic lessons in school; at home in their own time or through private lessons; or as part of our numerous music related after school clubs - to showcase their talents.

And what a show we had! It takes an awful lot of courage to stand in front of an audience and perform and the children were brilliant. It was kicked off by the school choir who sang Stargazing accompanied by Mr Watson on guitar. We also had: guitar, piano, drum, violin, flute and harp soloists as well as some duets and ensembles - including a group of children who were inspired by a samba session at Uffculme High School and created their own piece.

We were also treated to an original music composition from Mr Price's afterschool songwriting club pupils - 'The Priceless Girls' - who wrote, played, sang, recorded, produced and then performed a song.

It was a fantastic event. Many thanks to all the adults involved in preparing the children for their performances; it really was a fantastic musical showcase.
